Course Information
Follow the course of nature and enjoy world class golf in a setting you simply
must experience. Until we go completely private, all players are welcome to share in the
spectacular views of D'Andrea.
D'Andrea Golf and Country Club was designed by renowned golf course architect Keith Foster. Some of Mr. Fosters other works include Bighorn Golf Club (home of "The Skin's Game" and most recently of "The Battle at Bighorn") where Sergio Garcia defeated Tiger Woods and Harbour Pointe in Seattle (winner of "Best new public course 1991, Golf Digest). Mr. Foster has also worked on Augusta National Golf Club and is currently re-working Southern Hills Country Club for the 2001 U.S. Open.
Mr. Foster utilized the natural topography of the land in his design of D'Andrea. The golf course meanders up an elevated plateau creating phenomenal views from every hole. D'Andrea offers up to five sets of tees to accommodate golfers of all skill levels. Total yardage varies from a stout 6,849 from the Black Tees, down to 5,982 from the White Tees.
The result of the design is a sweeping golf course with breathtaking vistas, inspiring great golf shots to be struck.

Hole No. 1, 424 yards, par 4 - Like most of architect Keith Foster's holes, this opener gives you all the information you need from the tee that offers a fine sense of perspective. It's a straight away jaunt, level at first them climbing to an elevated green that's severely canted from right to left. Aim over the left fairway bunker for the best approach angle; the flattest lies start at about 230 yards from the tee. A 9 iron or wedge in and your putting for birdie, if the wind is up make that a 7 or 8 iron.
Hole No. 2, 374 yards, par 4 - Downhill but usually into the wind. Aim for the bunker on the left of the fairway, which slopes left to right, and hit a controlled fade to keep the ball in play. Big hitters can drive this hole on a calm day, but they'll still have to contend with a humped, tricky putting surface, which isn't bunkered but surrounded by plenty of rough.
Hole No. 3, 215 yards, par 3 - There's probably a 60 to 70 foot crop from tee to the large two tiered green, so take a club to a club and a half less than what you think you'll need to carry the waste area. If the pin is back on the lower tier, you'll need to land in just the right spot - center right - to get a favorable roll. It it's up front, short is better than long. With the wind blowing left to right, a lot of players will find the grassy knoll to the right of the green.
Hole No. 4, 517 yards, par 5 - Definitely a birdie opportunity on a calm day, but against the wind this double-dogleg demands mighty whacks to get home in two. Cheat the tee shot to the right side of the wide fairway, which drops off to a swale of deep grass on the left. From the widest landing area about 260 yards from the tee, it's anything from a 4-iron to a 3-wood to reach the green, but this is the most bunkered hold on the course including three guarding the green, so a lay up might be the best option.
Hole No. 5, 400 yards, par 4 - Another dogleg left, with the crowned fairway rising above a vast waste area on the left with bunkers and hillside to the right. Knock the tee shot just left of the bunkers and you'll open short iron to a flat, receptive green. Take dead aim and rack up another birdie.
Hole No. 6, 196 yards, par 3 - On D'Andrea Signature hold Foster pays homage to many of the world's great short holes - and to fellow designers Robert Trent Jones and Pete Dye. From the back tees it's all carry over water with a long to mid-iron, and if the prevailing wind is blowing over 10 miles per hour, the already narrow, kidney-shaped green shrinks to a nail biting size. Go long and your facing a downhill bunker short or pitch toward the water; too short and your wet. The toughest pin placement is back - right, demanding a pinpoint high draw. Take a deep breath, pick the right stick and godspeed.
Hole No. 7, 553 yards, par 5 - After treading lightly on no. 6, it's time for a booming drive over water to a very wide fairway that ends about 290 yards from the tee, then starts again, climbing gradually to a raised, severely sloped green. Gunners can go for it with a 3-wood, but a 5-iron lay-up isn't a bad play if the putter's working. Bunkers guard the left side.
Hole No. 8, 422 yards, par 4 - To reach one of the toughest greens on he course in regulation you'll need to fly the fairway bunker on the left (about 270 yards out) or thread the needle of short grass to it's right. Either way you've got a short iron in to an elevated green that slides big-time right to left and front to back. Don't lose your concentration here.
Hole No. 9, 420 yards, par 4 - Visually one of D'Andrea's most satisfying holes, and a strategic puzzle. The fairway splits in two about 200 yards from the tee, with the wider left side rising a good 30 feet above the finger on the right. Left is safer, but the best angle to the very elevated green is from the right; it's another tricky, humped surface that tapers from front to back. A great finish to the front side.
Hole No. 10, 387 yards, par 4 - The first of several blind tee shots on the inward nine, moving straight uphill from the tee to a plateau landing area, with a rough-choked depression to the right. Make it safely to the top of the hill and your left with a downwind, downhill pitch to a flat, well bunkered green.
Hole No. 11, 402 yards, par 4 - Another uphill dogleg-right right that begs for a smoked drive to one of the widest fairways on the course...if you clear the two traps pinching in from the left side, that is. The large green is situated in a bowl, with deep bunkers left and right, and it drops off quickly at the front-right edge, so take enough club.
Hole No. 12 , 246 yards, par 3 - A beautifully framed hole, moving gracefully downhill over tall grass and sage to along, deep green with bunkers on the right. Again you'll need to club down a bit here. Hold a strong fade against the right-to-left breeze and you should be safe for a two-putt par or workin' birdie.
Hole No. 13, 366 yards, par 4 - It's short, it's uphill and it's straight - a breather hole. Or is it? A pair of small fairway bunkers sneak in from the left of the primary landing area, and the entire landing area moves from right to left, so a big fade isn't good. Hit the tee shot on a rope past the traps, knock a wedge on the deep, elevated green, admire the starkly beautiful hills and tiptoe off with a solid par.
Hole No. 14, 196 yards, par 3 - The final one-shotter moves slightly downhill and most likely downwind, so the one-club-less rule applies here too. The tee shot must clear large bunkers front and right, yet keep below the hole; the green slopes precariously back to front.
Hole No. 15, 385 yards, par 4 - Another interesting par 4, the furthest hole from the clubhouse and the last uphill journey. This time the tee shot should steer clear of the bunker on the right, or fly it to a wide landing area; from there it's a simple 9-iron or wedge into a narrow, deep, tiered green. Go long and your left with a nasty little pitch from a hillside lie.
Hole No. 16, 330 yards, par 4 - the shortest par 4 on the course, but by no means the easiest. It's a true risk-or-reward proposition. A laser-like driver off the tee will get you home, but only if you squeeze it between the four sausage-link bunkers to the right and another deep sand pit on the left. Most players will lay up on the left-to-right sloping fairway with an iron and gingerly place a wedge approach on the large putting surface that slopes away from incoming shots. A good place to press if you're one down.
Hole No. 17, 541 yards, par 4 - Aim for the target bunker on the left, hope for a gentle cut and leave yourself the option of going for it in two or laying up with a 7 or 8-iron. Again, if it's calm, the first scenario becomes more attractive, because the green is vulnerable to a long-range draw with two small bunkers guarding the left-front. If it doesn't draw, though, it's down in the brush and rocks-bye bye birdie, hello bogey.
Hole No. 18, 475 yards, par 4 - A deceptive hole from the tee, with a blind downhill tee shot that needs to come as close to the rock formation on the right as possible to leave a mid-iron to the green, which sits high on a windswept plateau even further to the right. Those fooled into aiming "down the middle" (away from the rocks) can easily overshoot the fairway and find themselves with an unplayable lie. A slightly hooked or underclubbed approach will find a nasty bunker, and there is another trap rear-right, so choose your final weapon wisely. Par will feel like birdie, and birdie will put you in the mood to buy the first round. Either way, admire the view and thank Keith Foster for a job well done.
