A native Californian, Ann moved to Northern Nevada in 1978 and worked for the U.S. Postal Service and then Caesar's Tahoe Hotel where she was employed as a financial analyst and group sales manager.  It was in this last job that she began her career in the travel industry and became involved with NTA.

She was Vice President of Scenic Tours for Frontier Tours in Carson City, Nevada from 1990 until July of 2002.  Her position enabled her to become proficient in all aspects of tour operations.  

Ann is now the owner/manager of Western Discovery, LLC in Reno, Nevada and looks to the challenges of the future with a confidence that is born of experience and strong work ethics. 

Ann enjoys the unique distinction of having served on “both sides of the table” at NTA as a supplier as well as a tour operator.  She has been active in NTA for over 16 years and has served as NTA Chairman for 2005.

Her past volunteer positions include Chairperson for the CTP Task Force, Education and Member Services Committees, member of the Speaker’s Bureau, Board Liaison to the Global Committee, Tour Supplier Council, Marketing Committee and National Tourism Foundation.   She has served on the NTA Board for six years. She has also been involved with the Reno-Tahoe Territory organization and is the recipient of two Voluntourism Awards from the State of Nevada.
